Our private boat dock has lounge chairs, an umbrella upstairs, a boat slip, and a sitting area down below. The neighborhood BOAT LAUNCH is RIGHT across the street! The main level of our home is a large area with dining table and chairs as well as a bar height counter with stools. Another section is devoted to watching the flat screen TV while resting on the leather sofa and other comfortable chairs. The kitchen is also on this level with high end stainless appliances. We have almost everything you could need in a kitchen: mixer, cookie sheets, slow cooker. There is a full bathroom on this level with tile floors and granite counter tops. Lake Wedowee, technically “RL Harris Reservoir” was created in the 80’s by Alabama Power. The lake is 10,000 acres, 24 miles long and has 27 miles of shoreline. It was formed from a deep river channel of the Tallapoosa River. The water is very deep, and very clear- boasting some of the cleanest water with great fishing. (Fishing licence can be purchased online from the Alabama Dept of Conservation & Natural Resources) ? Alabama Power lowers the water level about 8’ starting in early October until late April. It does affect the appearance of the shoreline but we have year round water. Our dock remains floating, but the access ramp is a little steep. There is much to offer from our beautiful lake home! A very important attribute is the homes proximity to the waterline. Going back and forth to the dock at a lake place on Wedowee can be tiring when it involves sets of mile high stairs but you can avoid that here. It's a huge bonus that the house was built with that in mind. The patios are wonderful for entertaining and there is an outdoor kitchen with a new grill. It has the best views and is located on great deep water convenient to the marina directly across from it and our own neighborhood boat launch. It also is in a nice location by car to the grocery store, fast food, Mexican restaurant, Lakeside Grill, and shops of Downtown Wedowee less than 10 minutes away. The home was built by my husband and has just now been completely finished so many parts of it are brand new. It has 4 queen beds and a fold out futon in the living area if needed. Fully equipped kitchen with new fridge, all necessary dishes, Wolfgang puck stainless steel cookware and extras such as a crock pot, popcorn popper, hand mixer, blender, wine opener etc. It should have everything you need and more. Nice to have at a lake house for coolers, drinks and such is the built in 50 pound ice maker in the bar area. We have a paddle boat that you're welcome to use. There are life jackets, floats, folding beach chairs, etc for your use as well. Washer and dryer available and all bath towels and sheets are provided. We fell in love with this lot because it has year-round deep water, but it's at the end of a cove where you can swim all day and not worry about boats going by. We designed the house around the dream of a great family and friends getaway. There are 5 bedrooms that have king-sized beds, 4 of which have private bathrooms. There are 2 bunk rooms, one with 8 twin beds and one with 2 queens and 2 twins. There is one more bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed. 6 of the bedrooms have amazing views of the lake. The large kitchen should easily meet your needs with two refrigerators, two dishwashers, a double oven, and a microwave. There are two living spaces with fireplaces and another space for ping pong with bar seating and a wet bar. There is also a theater room. There is a screened-in porch off the main floor, a private deck off the master, and a large patio with additional decking off the ground floor. The deck off the kitchen has a gas grill. The two-story dock has a jumping platform, pergola, swim deck, and hammock over the water.

The dining room table can seat 5 or 6, and a kitchen bar top seats 3 more. A second living room downstairs also has satellite TV, a couch, and three game tables (foosball, ping-pong, and mini pool). Outside you'll find decks on both levels looking over the beautiful lake. The main level deck has adirondack rocking chairs, our gas grill, and a hammock for some extra relaxation. Still not relaxed enough? Find your way to the lower deck and hop in the hot tub that seats 4, also looking out over the water. Across the gravel driveway you'll find an outdoor patio area with bench seating, a fire pit, four parking spaces, and a landscape timber path down to the water with a handrail for easier climbing. Fishermen are welcome to use our single-slip dock with year-round deep water. The closest launch point we're aware of is the public ramp on highway 48 (next to the south marina). A few notes up front before you decide to book with us: A quick note of caution for those with limited mobility - although we've built the path down to the water as gradual as possible, there are about 50 steps. Pros and cons to being on the deepest part of the lake.....we get to enjoy year-round water, but we do have to walk a little bit to get down to it! Please note that while our cabin has an indoor fireplace, it is decorative only (not operable for safety reasons). For those looking to build a fire, the outdoor fire pit is ready and waiting for you! We do not provide firewood, so you'll need to bring your own. !! Quick caution for 2021. We are building a detached garage in front of the house. The driveway will always be useable. Work will not be visible from the lake side, and won't interfere with your enjoyment of the lake and dock. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We hope to be completed by mid April. Come share our well appointed lake home on a quiet cove. We’re on the south end of Lake Wedowee in Hunter Bend subdivision. Our location keeps us away from holiday and weekend boat traffic. You can feel safe to swim quietly in the deep water off our dock (20 feet deep at the end of the dock during high water, 35 feet deep in the middle of the cove) while only minutes from the main channel, big water and great boating. Lake Wedowee is renowned for it’s fabulously clean water, the result of being created from a deep river channel through rocky terrain. There is no orange staining typical of many southern lakes. The house faces northeast, and even in hot weather the deck and dock are in the shade most the day, offering cool and pleasant afternoons and evenings, while getting good early and midday sun if you want to tan. Our cove is residential and has several year round residents. We ask our guests respect the peace and quiet our residents enjoy. Loud outdoor parties are not appropriate. The home has three bedrooms, each with their own full bath. Plus a powder room on the main. The master is on the main and has a King bed. The two lower level bedrooms have two queen beds each. And again, each bedroom has it’s own full bath. The kitchen comes fully equipped with gas stove, microwave, both a Keurig and drip coffee maker, toaster, and filtered water through the refrigerator, (we’re already on city water, and the quality is excellent). Crock Pot. Sous Vide. There is tons of high quality cookware. Everything you'll need to cook up something special. Plus a stainless steel gas grill. Lots of wine glasses and very good quality dishware. The house has high speed internet, (about 18mbps, adequate for streaming TV) free wifi, 3 smart TV's, and a SONOS sound system on the main. The upper deck has heavy, quality deck chairs and a stainless steel gas grill. Propane is provided. There are also good quality deck chairs on the gazebo and at the firepit, and extra chairs below the deck. There is a boat launch literally across the street. The nearest marina is less than 15 minutes away on the water… just past the 48 bridge. They have gas pumps open seven days during the summer months. 6 days in the fall and winter. A pontoon boat is available for rent from the marina. But just one. And they require it be returned daily. Town is a 15 minute drive away. There are two grocery stores, a liquor store, and a few other convenience stores. Restaurants are admittedly scarce. About Lake Wedowee— Lake Wedowee, technically “RL Harris Reservoir” was created in the 80’s by Alabama Power. It’s 10,000 acres (1/4 the size of Lake Lanier north of Atlanta or Lake Martin near Montgomery) and was formed from a deep river channel of the Tallapoosa River. The water is very deep, and very clear. At our south end of the lake, hundred foot depths are the norm. Alabama Power lowers the water level about 8’ staring in early October until late April. It does affect the appearance of the shoreline and the utility of many docks. Our dock remains floating, but the access ramp is quite steep. But the lake in the winter is special. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Come join us! We are very flexible with scheduling. First come, first served.

Although we currently have 2 canoes available, guests may tie up their own boat in the available slip at our dock during their stay if they notify us in advance. There is a public launch nearby - just off Co. Rd. 240 in Crescent Crest Manor. Boats can also be rented at Wedowee Marine and Southern Boat Rentals. The two acre lot is cool and shady, and has over 200 feet of lakefront. The boat dock can accommodate 6 boats, has covered parking and lounge area with refrigerator, and a floating swim platform. Bring your boat and launch at the community boat ramp or rent from the local marina(s). There is a canoe, kayak, and minimal fishing equipment, to assure you have a life jacket please bring your own. This property has SEASONAL WATER, the water is up the beginning of May to the end of October. The lake cabin is 5500 sq feet with 6 spacious bedrooms (4 up, 2 down), and 2.5 baths (up),1.5 (down). There are full kitchens, large living areas and decks on both levels. Upper and lower driveways and two car garage provide plenty of parking. One canoe and one “John Boat” (similar to a canoe) are included for you to paddle around on the beautiful water. Dock is attached for you to swim around and sunbathe. Beach towels are included for your stay. You are welcome to bring your own boat or pontoon and tie up to our dock. You’ll have access to the private community boat ramp. We are retired restaurant owners so the house has pictures of some of our menu items which we took out of our old business. They brighten up the home and will probably make you hungry! ?? We leave our Christmas tree up all year long because hey, every day is like Christmas morning at the lake (also great for weekends around the holidays!). The main floor of the house has a large open room with high ceilings. The kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances is fully equipped for your stay. Everything you need to whip up a great meal is there. Large gas grill is just outside on the porch. A breakfast room that’s perfect for breakfast or playing cards and boardgame while you look out over the lake. Across from the kitchen is a full bathroom. The dining room seats 10+. A sofa and flatscreen TV are also in this large area. Around the corner you will find the spacious master bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom with a shower and bathtub. Large flat screen TV in the master as well. The guest bedroom on the main floor is a full-sized bed and very cozy. A large laundry room with two washers and three dryers is downstairs. The downstairs den has a large flatscreen and big, comfy couches. You’ll also find a second kitchen with a refrigerator, dishwasher and sink here as well. Around the corner are two guest bedrooms and a full bath… one guestroom has two full-sized beds and the other has two queen beds. Go upstairs to the third level and you’ll find four more bedrooms and a full bath. The first room has a full-sized bed. The second has two queen beds, the third is a giant room with three king-sized mattresses and one full-sized mattress, a large flatscreen TV and a sink. You can access the fourth bedroom through the giant room. The fourth smaller bedroom has two twin beds inside. An extra twin mattress is available if needed. Our cove is residential and has several year-round residents. We ask our guests to respect the peace and quiet our residents enjoy. Loud outdoor parties are not appropriate. The nearest marina is about 30 minutes away on the water… just past the 48 bridge. They have gas pumps open seven days during the summer months. 6 days in the fall and winter. A pontoon boat is available for rent from the marina. But just one. And they require it be returned daily. Restaurants in town as well, however admittedly scarce. Nearby from two grocery stores in the town of Wedowee (~15 minutes), Roanoke (~30 minutes) and Anniston (~60 minutes). About Lake Wedowee— Lake Wedowee, technically “RL Harris Reservoir” was created in the 80’s by Alabama Power. It’s 10,000 acres (1/4 the size of Lake Lanier north of Atlanta or Lake Martin near Montgomery) and was formed from a deep river channel of the Tallapoosa River. The water is very deep, and very clear. At our south end of the lake, hundred foot depths are the norm. Alabama Power lowers the water level about 8’ staring in early October until late April. It does affect the appearance of the shoreline somewhat. Our dock does remains floating. The lake in the winter is special. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. We welcome you to our slice of paradise!

Our beautiful vacation home is located north of the town of Wedowee near the Swagg community on the big Tallapoosa River of Lake Wedowee. It is located at the end of a 2 mile gravel road. I sometimes drive my mustang in here but I am more comfortable in my suv. We have four bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. We are still new but have just completed our tenth rental in our first 4 months. It is a little confusing to find the place and we will get you there with great directions if you decide to stay. The house is fully stocked and includes 2 kitchens, 2 family rooms, 3 covered porches, laundry closet with washer and dryer, lake gazebo but no boat, you can bring your own or use the kayaks we have down at the dock. This is very private with only one neighbor. Enjoy the scenery, paddle up river about 10 minutes and view the eagles nests in trees standing in the water. There are 2 additional blow up mattresses if you have more than 10. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to town to the grocery store. Well behaved pets are welcome. The dogs usually love to hang outside anyway. There is so much for them to do. The house is three levels. Main floor includes master bedroom and bath with access to porch, family room, half bath, laundry closet, eat-in kitchen, back porch with dining, daybed for naps, wicker seating area and front porch. Upper level includes 2 bedrooms for seven and a large bath with double sinks. Lower level includes bedroom with queen and daybed, large bathroom with shower only, family room, additional kitchen and access to large covered porch.

Our house is located on Beautiful Lake Wedowee and has a million dollar view of the lake. The porch is a great place to sit and relax with outdoor dining , rocking chairs, and swings. In front of the porch is a grass courtyard that is also great for sitting and relaxing. There is a fire pit that is fun for roasting marshmallows or just sitting by the fire. The house is perfect for large family and friend gatherings. It has a gourmet kitchen with large commercial refrigerator and freezer, gas commercial stove with six burners, a griddle, and two ovens. There is also a wine cooler, an ice machine, and two sinks. The house has six large bedrooms and sleeps 16. We have a dock with a sun deck. It is located in a great area for swimming and fishing. Our house is only a few miles from a marina with a public boat ramp. It is also close to town and near shopping and restaurants.

The best part of our paradise is the private pool overlooking Lake Wedowee with a private dock! Our home away from home is privately nestled in the country overlooking a beautiful gunite salt water pool and beautiful quiet cove on Lake Wedowee at the north end of the lake. It features an uncovered dock for swimming, fishing and boating. There is an outdoor pool shower and plenty of pool floats and lounge chairs. A few steps above you will find a nice spacious covered deck with a ceiling fan and outdoor dining set that overlooks the pool and lake, it is wonderful for enjoying the scenery while eating, drinking or simply relaxing. From the deck you enter your private retreat of over 1750 sq. ft. our spacious and beautiful home on the lower level which is the closest to the pool, lake and an outdoor kitchen with bar with a gas grill, electric smoker, and refrigerator. The home has a large open split floor plan with the kitchen, dining and living room that overlooks the pool and lake, 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs, including a Keurig and a regular coffee pot, along with a large high top dining table/bar with seating for your whole family. The living room has a cozy rustic lake style gas fireplace and comfortable reclining sofas for relaxing and watching the large 55" tv with cable and dvd player, there is also a chest full of dvds, games and books for everyone. The master suite is located separately on one side of the split floor plan and has a comfy queen bed and large 50" tv with cable and dvd player, it adjoins the beautiful large master bathroom with double vanities and extra large shower. The other bedrooms and bathroom are located on the other side of the split floor plan with a Jack and Jill bedrooms and bathroom set up, one bedroom has a comfy queen bed and the other has 2 twin beds along with kids toys and a small tv with dvd player, the beautiful bathroom has a large shower and single vanity. We provide free wifi for our guests. There is private designated parking in driveway for guests a few steps away from your entrance.
